The staff at the Healthy Hearts Center know that eating healthy is not always easy. We can help you succeed by offering personalized nutritional consultation with Nutrition Coordinator Lisa Mahan, D.T. Specialized nutritional plans are provided for medical concerns such as:

  • Elevated blood pressure
  • High cholesterol or triglycerides
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Stroke prevention
  • Peripheral vascular disease
  • Cardiac risk factor reduction
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes and prevention
  • Dysmetabolic syndrome
  • Insulin resistance

Nutrition education is provided for a variety of topics:

  • Food label interpretation
  • Grocery list assistance
  • Quick healthy meal ideas
  • Food preparation
  • Vitamins, supplements and herbs
  • Stress-related eating
  • Portion control
  • Eating away from home
  • Overcoming barriers

Individual sessions are available Monday through Thursday and are located at The Indiana Heart Hospital in Suite 130. Cost is $35 per session for members. **
